Taylor made 81509

A great day with great friends !

Today I had Robert Taylor and his son Jamie along with Paw Paw Mitch on board to fill the box.
Started out in an area that has been doing well and started out with a steady but slow bite.
The dolphins were having better luck than we were as they would crash thru the trout with a vengeance slowing the bite down.
Waited it out a little and it didn’t take long before we started slinging them in three at a time till another predator with a pointed nose came straight thru the fish shutting them down again…..NO not a shark but some guys in an aluminum flat boat !
Still waited it out and once they moved off the top of the fish we started catching them fast and steady again till we had a couple of storm sells heading our way so with 85 in the gloo we left them biting and made our way thru the marsh taking all the back cuts and short cuts I knew and with luck we managed to split two storm cells and arrive with a dry but.
As soon as the boat was under the roof it unloaded all around us.
The guys even helped out the cleaning of the fish which got them on the road a lot quicker.
Robert and Jamie have been coming with me since he was about eight years old and now I look at Jamie which has graduated high school and has become a young man in front of my eyes.
It’s amazing how time flies…I guess it’s like the song say’….DON’T BLINK !
The trout were hitting shrimp as well as the plastics and I just wish we could have had some croakers as well.
I had a blast as always with the guys and look forward to the next one.

Till next time …Take a trip and rip some lips !
