Capt. Stan Cuquet has been fishing the bayous of Louisiana his entire life, raised by a family of fisherman it is no wonder he has the knowledge that he does. The love for the bayou is evident in his enthusiasm as he prepares you for an adventure to remember. Known as the ” Lip Ripper” to most of his friends on the bayou he is well respected as a top producer when it comes to putting fish in the boat under the worst of conditions. While working in the fishing boat industry for over twenty years as well as being a commercial fisherman, he has come away with an understanding of what makes our estuary system the richest in the world as well as the most fragile.

From downtown New Orleans you’re just a Cast Away from Delacroix Island, one of the last remaining fishing and shrimping communities unchanged by time. A place that seems to move as slow and steady as the gentle tide shift of the day.
